The Orange Veterinary Hospital was established in the 1940's by Dr Elbert Cooper and was situated for many years at 20 Sale Street. We have been servicing the companion, performance and production animals of Orange and the surrounding district for over 50 years.



Our newly constructed Class A Veterinary Hospital, designed by internationally renowned architect John Andrews AO, offers small and large animal medical, surgical and intensive care facilities. We believe in embracing modern technology to enable the best service for our patients. The combined clinical experience of our veterinarians is complimented by a range of diagnostic aids including, radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, electro-cardiography and in-house clinical pathology. We have ready access to specialist referral services and our practice is visited monthly by veterinary ophthalmologist, Dr Cameron Whittaker.

We stock a comprehensive range of veterinary products for large and small animals including horse drenches and supplements, grooming aids, worm tablets, collars, cages and prescription diets for dogs and cats.



Puppy Pre School classes are run on Thursday evenings by Debbie Coleman at the Orange Show Ground. We can recommend Debbie’s classes to new puppy owners. Bookings essential. Please contact us for details

We were very proud to receive a national AVA Practice Excellence Award for 2008/09, one of two awarded Australia wide for a mixed veterinary practice as well as the Orange Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Business Award for Agribusiness 2008.
